Dominique Sirop Haute Couture Dress, Spring/Summer 2004

Dominique Sirop Haute Couture Dress, Spring/Summer 2004

£0.00Price

This silk gown from Dominique Sirop’s Spring 2004 haute couture collection features a sleeveless, floor-length silhouette constructed in a lavender-pink satin. The design incorporates tonal, peach-colored ribbon-like panels that are arranged diagonally across the dress, meeting at several gathered points to create radiating, star-shaped seams. These gathered details appear at the side bodice, hip, and lower skirt, contributing to the dress’s structured, geometric layout.

The gown has an asymmetrical back neckline and a slim, elongated shape that extends into a small train. Its construction emphasizes panel placement, directional seam work, and fabric manipulation—techniques consistent with couture production. An identical dress was presented in the Spring 2004 runway show.

Dominique Sirop is a French couturier recognised for his work within the Paris haute couture tradition. After training with major fashion houses, he established his own label and was admitted as an official haute couture member by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture—an achievement granted to only a limited number of designers.
